I LOVED this medal, and I can't wait to use it again. It is a great size, and actually FEELS like a real medal. I like all of Decade Awards' medals, but this one is my favorite.

I bought a metal for my mother . she is incredible! She has for a while now trying to lose weight she has tried all the weight loss fads and her friend keeps rubbing it in her face when she loses weight. my mom was feeling down. So I got her this metal I got it engraved telling her how much I love her. She always does 5k walks and she is in relay for life every year. This year unfortunately she did not receive a metal so I thought this would be the best surprise for her. She loved it and so did I !! Its heavy and beautiful just like a real medal should be ! Anytime I am giving someone a metal I'm coming here this is just the best deal I can't believe how perfect this turned out! Thank you so much for all your hard work in making these! Me and my mom are very happy and will defiantly be buying more!!!

This is an addendum to my 4-star review. Just hours after submitting the previous review, Decade Awards reached out to me via email and offered a replacement medal free of charge, and shipped it out the same day. You always hear stories about exceptional customer service ; it's nice to know that these companies really do exist. Decade Awards earned their 5th star.

Overall I am very pleased with the quality of these medals. As Mark from Portland states in his review, the engravings are indeed stickers. They do not look out of place, however; the coloring and texture match the rest of the medal well enough. The medal itself has a good weight to it, and doesn't feel flimsy at all. It makes a satisfying, heavy clinking sound when it's placed on a table. I chose the standard red, white, and blue ribbon. I don't have much to say about the ribbon, really. It's sturdy enough to bear the weight of the medal. It doesn't seem like it would rip or fray easily (though I am not going to test that theory myself). Why is this not a 5-star rating? I deducted a star because the custom engraving was entered incorrectly on one of my medals. I checked it against what I submitted in my order to see if perhaps it was my own fault. It was not my error; the text on the medal did not match the text on my submission.

Nice product with substantial weight. One minor disappointment: the "engraving" is merely a sticker.
